You know what annoys me to no end? People who go around saying "meat is murder" and that "anyone who eats meat supports animal cruelty."

Those statements, if anything, are PURE Straw-Man arguments.

Just because I'm an animal lover doesn't mean I can't enjoy a hamburger now and then. I may love animals, but I'm also a realist and I'm well-aware of the fact that human beings are still part of the food chain...We eat other animals and other animals eat us. It's just a fact of life.

Second, me being an omnivore does NOT mean I'm a murderer. For one thing, how is me eating a hamburger ANY less moral than a lion eating a gazelle? Answer-It doesn't! It's no more or less moral.

Also, the whole "meat-eaters support animal cruelty" is a LIE! Again, I am an animal lover and I do NOT support cruelty to animals in any form. There's a BIG difference between killing an animal for food and torturing an animal for pure sick enjoyment.

Now, if you don't like eating meat, fine, that's your opinion. Just, please, don't go around calling us meat-eaters "murderers" or "supporters of animal cruelty".

The ONLY thing I don't like about some meats is how bad some places treat the animals. However, I do think it's ok if they choose to eat meat from places who do not treat their animals poorly.
Though really I'm not much into forcing people to choose one or the other. Heck I can't really choose not to eat meat, it's too hard. x:

I love my three cats very much. I also love eating tacos.

Besides, I can't be a vegetarian. I'm anemic and I get my iron from beef.

I agree. I love animals but love meat too.

I don't support /any/ animals being abused, or killed just for fun.

I think if an animal is going to be killed as much as possible should be used, and I feel guilty when I throw meat out. I think animals should be raised and killed humanly, and i'm sick of people calling me a hypocrite because I like meat x.x

I agree 100 percent! I love animals, but I am an omnivore so I love to eat meat as well. And what ~tamedwhiskers said I think if we are gonna eat meat at least try not to waist a lot of it and the animals should be raised and killed humanly and live a miserable life before death. But I hate it when people go around and say, "You eat meat, that is cruelty to animals." Umm hello? We are omnivores. We eat meat like some of the animals eat meat. It's part of the food chain, it's part of life.
