Ok, before y'all go on a rant and whatnot, let me just say one thing-
I LOVE POKEMON!
Ok, I am a fan of the series. Hell, Pokemon is perhaps my all-time favorite video game series to play.
But, I feel that I should have the right to rant about something that's been bugging me for quite some time. What is it, you ask? Well, as this stamp indicates, it's the overuse of Legendary Pokemon in the games.
Here, let me break down the list of Legendary Pokemon in the game series so far-
I mean, seriously, Nintendo went from 5 powerful and difficult to capture/train pokemon to 14 random one-of-a-kind pokemon to capture?! What the fuck!?
Where's the thrill in that? The excitement? The feeling of greatness you achieve when you finally captured your first Legendary Pokemon?
What made the original five (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew, and Mewtwo) worth capturing was exactly that...THERE WAS ONLY 5 LEGENDARY POKEMON! If you didn't catch them (Or obtain them through a cheat code like you could with Mew), that was it....you couldn't obtain any more unless either you-A. Started the game over again OR B. Traded Pokemon with a friend.
But, with Diamond/Pearl it's like "Oh, you didn't capture Darkrai, Dialga, or Heatran? That's ok...there's still 11 more to capture!"
Yeah, I know the previous games had one-of-a-kind pokemon as well..but at least they didn't call every other one-of-a-kind pokemon a Legendary Pokemon. GAH! It annoys me to no end.
Seriously, if Nintendo keeps this up, then we'll end up with 30 Legendary Pokemon in the next game...and then it won't even be worth shit to have any of them. Nintendo should just go back to having 5 Legendary Pokemon per game before it's too late...
Pokemon belongs to Nintendo.
This stamp belongs to me
Edit-OK, you people are REALLY PISSING ME OFF! You idiots who keep commenting never seem to get the POINT of this stamp. How hard is it for you fucktards to figure out the stamp is about the RIDICULOUS NUMBER OF LEGENDARY POKEMON in the more-recent games!? It is NOT about how to catch a legendary Pokemon NOR is it about the mythologies in which they come from!
